About
I am a 17 year old high school senior trying to find ways to live as green as possible. From the time a guest speaker handed everyone in my first grade class a shower timer and challenged us to take a less than ten minute showers, I was hooked. I enjoy finding new simple lifestyle changes that will benefit the environment. I believe in taking the Middle Path. Living green doesn’t mean going to the extreme. (Although if you are interested in reading about a family who lived a year without toilet paper, visit http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/22/garden/22impact.html?_r=1&em&ex=1174795200&en=37dc12676509aa61&ei=5087%0A).
With all the conflicting viewpoints, statistics, and data out there, it’s difficult to figure out what being green actually means. To buy organic or not organic? Are solar panels actually beneficial for the environment?
Confusing? Yes. But as I myself try to figure out how to be more eco-friendly, hopefully I can help make living green a little bit simpler. Because I believe Green Living is for all.
